Cahaba River Walk Park in Mountain Brook, Alabama, is a charming and accessible green space that features a scenic riverwalk trail perfect for a leisurely stroll, a morning jog, or a peaceful afternoon walk with the family. This 5-acre park is an ideal spot for picnicking with young children. There is a 2/10-mile paved walking trail, a pavilion for social gatherings, and a dog park. There is also easy access to the river for fishing, swimming, and paddling.
Canoe access involves steps down to a flat area on the bank with a 6 foot slide into the river. The launch can be slick after heavy rain. Visit the Cahaba Blueway to learn more about paddling this section of the river.
